1. Website access and server logs

When you access this website or download a file, the hosting server may automatically process technical information supplied by your browser. This can include your IP address, date and time of access, requested file or URL, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type, operating system and access status.

This processing is necessary to deliver the website and requested files, maintain technical stability and security, and investigate misuse. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are the secure and reliable operation of this website and protection against attacks. Log data is retained only for as long as required for these purposes or to comply with legal obligations and is then deleted or anonymised.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by webhostone GmbH, Rheinvogtstraße 17, 79713 Bad Säckingen, Germany. The hosting provider processes the technical data described above on our behalf to provide and secure the website. Where required by applicable law, this processing is governed by a data-processing agreement.

3. Cookies, analytics and external media

This website does not set analytics, advertising or profiling cookies. It does not use third-party analytics, externally hosted fonts, embedded videos or social-media tracking pixels. Therefore, no consent banner is currently required for the technologies used on this website.

If these technologies change in the future, this policy and, where legally required, the consent mechanism will be updated before they are activated.

4. Downloads and notification

Downloadable QiOO products and related files may be served directly from this website. Starting a download does not create a customer account. The normal server-log processing described above applies to the request.

When a software download is started, our server sends QiOO a simple operational email indicating that a download was requested. The notification contains no visitor identifier, IP address, browser information, referrer, requested product or download history. We do not create a separate download profile or counter. For visitors in the European Economic Area, this limited processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in understanding whether our download service is being used and remains operational.

5. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide—including your email address, message and any attachments—to respond to your request. For visitors in the European Economic Area, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request concerns a contract or steps prior to entering a contract, and otherwise on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

We retain correspondence only for as long as necessary to handle the request and meet applicable legal retention requirements.

6. External links

This website contains links to other pages, including the main QiOO website and the external QiOO store hosted by Lemon Squeezy. Data is transferred to an external site only after you follow such a link. The respective operator is responsible for processing on the destination website.

Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record for purchases completed through its checkout and processes the order, payment, tax, fraud-prevention and refund information required for that transaction under its own privacy information and terms.

7. Automatic licence fulfilment

After a successful purchase of an eligible QiOO digital product, Lemon Squeezy sends QiOO an authenticated electronic order notification containing the order identifier, product information, purchasing email address and payment status. Our server uses these data to generate and deliver the applicable licence or activation information. This processing is necessary to perform the contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

We retain the order identifier, purchasing email address, product and variant identifiers, generated activation code, delivery status and relevant timestamps for licence delivery, duplicate prevention, customer support and compliance with applicable retention obligations. Access is restricted and the records are not used for advertising or profiling.

8. Recipients and international transfers

Personal data is disclosed only where necessary to operate the website, respond to requests, comply with law or protect legal claims. Service providers process data only within the scope of their assigned tasks. We do not sell personal data.

Some service providers, including the external checkout provider, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where the GDPR applies, such transfers must rely on a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards provided by the respective parties.

9. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or to object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time for the future.

For GDPR requests, contact publishing@qioo.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority, particularly in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement.

10. Security and policy changes

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. Internet transmission can nevertheless never be guaranteed to be completely secure. We may update this policy when the website, our processing or legal requirements change. The current version is always published on this page.

11. Data controller

The data controller is the service provider identified in the Legal Notice below. The controller's complete postal address and contact information are stated there once.

Returns and physical goods

Products currently sold through our linked online checkout are digital products delivered electronically. No physical goods are currently sold there, so no shipping or physical-return process applies.

If QiOO Publishing offers printed books or other physical goods in the future, the applicable shipping and return policy will be published before those products are offered for sale.

Refund policy and process

Where a free trial or preview is available, please use it before purchasing to confirm that the product works with your supported system and suits your requirements.

Digital products and any applicable personal activation information are supplied electronically after checkout. Once delivery has begun, purchases are normally final and QiOO does not offer a voluntary change-of-mind refund. This is why we strongly recommend using any available trial or preview before purchasing.

We may, at our discretion, also approve a refund for a verified material technical defect that prevents the software from operating on a supported system and cannot be resolved through reasonable support. Our first step will normally be to help diagnose and resolve the issue. Incompatibility with an unsupported operating system, host or hardware, dissatisfaction with the sound or workflow, failure to review the published requirements, and ordinary installation or configuration issues that can be resolved through support do not normally qualify for a voluntary refund. Duplicate charges and failures to deliver the purchased product will be investigated and corrected or refunded as appropriate.

To request a refund, email plugins@qioo.de and include your Lemon Squeezy order number, the email address used for the purchase and, where relevant, a description of the technical issue and your system and DAW versions. We aim to review complete requests within two business days. Eligible refunds are issued by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record to the original payment method; the time required for the credit to appear depends on the payment provider.

For digital content supplied immediately, the statutory right of withdrawal may be lost once supply begins only where applicable law permits this and the customer has first given the required express consent and acknowledged the resulting loss of that right. Nothing in this voluntary refund policy excludes or restricts statutory withdrawal rights, remedies for defective digital products, or any other mandatory consumer protection.

Payment disputes and chargebacks

If you do not recognise a charge or have a problem with an order, please contact us before initiating a payment dispute so we can investigate the transaction, correct delivery problems or arrange an eligible refund. This request does not restrict any legal right to dispute a payment.

Purchases made through Lemon Squeezy may appear on a bank or card statement with a Lemon Squeezy descriptor. Lemon Squeezy handles payment disputes and chargebacks as merchant of record and may issue refunds in accordance with its platform rules and applicable law.

Cancellation

Unless the relevant product page and checkout expressly state otherwise, QiOO digital products are sold as one-time licences and not as recurring subscriptions. You may leave the checkout before submitting payment without placing an order. After delivery, the refund and statutory-right provisions above apply.

Legal and export restrictions

You may purchase, download and use the software only where permitted by the laws applicable to you. The product may not be exported, re-exported, supplied or used in violation of applicable trade sanctions, export-control rules or other legal restrictions. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their purchase and use are lawful in their jurisdiction.

Promotions and introductory pricing

Promotional prices apply only for the period and product stated in the relevant offer and while that offer remains available. Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined, exchanged for cash, transferred or applied retrospectively to earlier purchases.

Any introductory or promotional price applies while it is displayed on the relevant product page and in the checkout. We may change or withdraw a promotion before an order is completed; changes do not affect purchases already completed at the displayed checkout price.

Checkout and merchant of record

Clearly labelled purchase links take customers from the QiOO website to the external QiOO store operated by Lemon Squeezy. The final price, currency, applicable taxes, payment method and merchant terms shown there should be reviewed before payment. No sale is concluded on the QiOO information page itself.

What we do not use

• Tracking pixels, web beacons or fingerprinting
• Externally hosted fonts
• Embedded social-media widgets or videos
• Third-party advertising or analytics scripts
• Cross-site tracking or sale of visitor data

Local website functionality

The page uses a small local JavaScript file for responsive navigation, the copyright year and visual reveal effects. The script runs in your browser but does not create cookies, access browser storage, identify you or send analytics data.

Images, styles, fonts and downloadable product files are served directly from the QiOO website. No third-party content is loaded merely by visiting this page.

Server logs are not cookies

Like virtually every website, our hosting server may process technical request data—such as IP address, timestamp, requested file and browser information—to deliver and secure the website. This happens at server level and does not place a cookie on your device.

If our technology changes

If we introduce optional cookies, analytics or comparable technologies in the future, we will update this notice before activation. Where consent is legally required, those technologies will remain disabled until you make an informed choice through an appropriate consent interface.
